About this Project:The conception of LASCO (Los Angeles Shoe Company) began back in 2008, in a small 1-bedroom apartment in Southern California. The idea began with a simple concept of creating an exceptionally well-crafted shoe that was 100% sourced and manufactured in the United States; resurrecting an art that has been on the decline in this country for the past 20 years.
With your help, this idea can become reality. Though American shoe manufacturing has been hit hard, LASCO has been doing its part to bring the industry back, piece by piece. It hasn’t been easy. We’ve put our heart and soul into showing the world that it’s possible to bring back the fine craft of American shoe making, but we need your help to make the final push and bring our Spring/Summer collection to market.
Your donation will help us purchase the cutting dies and molds that we need to create our shoes here in the USA, and will also make it possible for us to move forward with our production costs. With the first two styles (the Del Mar and SanO) complete, our goal is to release four more (the Redondo, Torrance, El Porto, and Haggerty) as quickly as we can. Our American manufacturer has given us 35 days to make this happen, and $120K is what it will take to Kickstart LASCO.
