One hundred and fifty hours and several abandoned tents later, Kirsten Fletcher’s “The Magician’s Plumage” took home the “Best In Show & Independent Designer/Artist” at the Painswick Art Couture 2012.

Art Couture Painswick 2012 at first glance is probably the strangest fashion festival you’ve seen in quite in some time. Yet, it may also be the most inspirational festival you’ve ever seen. Calling upon designers of all ages, designers are welcomed to join a competition that will showcase their designs and talents.  The beauty of the Painswick Art Festival is its unique challenges it holds for their contestants. The Painswick Art Festival challenges the designers to use and harness the power of their imagination.

Painswick Art Couture 2012

With contest ranging from “Head Candy” to “Bra-tastic”, Painswick keeps the festival interesing from start to finish. Appropriately called “Fish and Chips”(Image-Right), designer Millie won the Open competition for designers between the ages of 12-17. Painswick Art Couture 2012
