Gota & Zardozi

When we were approached by a Bhakti Shah’s people we jumped at the opportunity to share her work.  Classic and elegant, sensual and chic are only a few things that come to mind when I look at this collection.  Her passion and impressive design experience began at J.D.Institute of Fashion & Technology in India, followed by 7 years of relevant industry experience.  That passion is so expertly displayed in the fine details you see here.

Renowned fashion designer Bhakti Shah has launched her collection for the festive season with an emphasis on the traditional Gota & Zardozi embroidery embellished with hand made Austrian Swarovski crystals. Bhakti Shah has rendered an exquisite range of Sarees, Chanya Choli, Lehenga Choli, Anarkali, Designer Churidars among others with an assemblage of world famous Swarovski crystals.

The designer will also be hosting an exclusive preview show at her Signature Couture store next month. Bhakti Shah had recently unveiled her bridal collection to a overwhelming response.

Bhakti Shah’s collection has got its own design sensibility in terms of patterns, color combinations and embroidery work. Beautiful colors like red, maroon, brown, blue, dark orange, dark green, blue, yellow, black are used in different combinations to make traditional sarees, Chaniya Cholis and Anarkalis.

Adds Bhakti Shah, “My collection comprises bright n vibrant hues like coral red, fuchsia pink, yellow whites n blues with simple cuts n natural fabrics. We have worked on plenty of Gota & Zardozi embroideries this season. The Gota embroidery hailing from Rajasthan is known for its  appliqué technique with gold and silver whereas the Zardozi work has evolved from the Moghul era.”
