It blows my mind that Lakme Fashion Week 2013 is already upon us.  Last year we spotlighted some of our favorite designers; among them were Astha & Sidharth.  I vividly remember the fun shapes and vibrant colors they brought to the runway in 2012.  Last year’s futuristic theme comprised of geometric, voluminous shapes was inspiring.  This year, they’ve captured their one of a kind “Astha & Sidharth feeling” in “The Stained Symphony”
Sometimes there is nothing that can rescue you from the spell of a craft.  This collection finds its inspiration from the majestic craftsmanship of stained glass.  There are various attributes to this artistry, the pattern, the brilliance of color, the black rigid frames, and so on.  We found our own ways of paying tribute to this form.
Every season we like to take up challenges, discovering, exploring and setting new standards for ourselves.  This season we have produced “The Stained Symphony.”  This collection is primarily made out of infinite colored triangles ,sculpted on the body, by strategic paneling to make them three dimensional at places. Also used as a print to personify our thoughts.
Hope to see you Lakme, on stall D6 at the source
